Uranium Star Announces Addition to Executive Team to Strengthen the Company

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Uranium Star Corp., (OTCBB:URST) (FRANKFURT:YE5) (“Uranium Star” or “the Company”), Kirk McKinnon, Chairman and CEO of Uranium Star Corp., is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Lee Harrs to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer and will join the Board effective immediately.

Ms. Lee Harrs brings extensive international mining experience to the Company.  Most recently, she was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Sherritt International Corporation and previously, Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of Inco Limited (now Vale Inco).  Before joining these mining companies, Ms. Lee Harrs was a corporate lawyer with Blakes, a national law firm.  Ms. Lee Harrs has worked on mining projects in Canada, New Caledonia, Cuba and Madagascar.

Kirk McKinnon commented, “Julie Lee Harrs addition to the Company represents Uranium Star’s understanding and desire to ensure that we will possess the necessary experience and skills which are critical in the advancement of a project such as our Green Giant Vanadium Project.  Given Julie’s credentials and background, she can quickly and easily interface when necessary with the major mining companies such as Sherritt International Corporation and Rio Tinto Limited who have significant projects in Madagascar involving a capital spend in the order of $6 billion. She is also well suited to guide the Company’s interface with manufacturing companies in the battery and steel industries abroad, particularly in Asia to cultivate strategic joint-ventures with potential parties interested in vertical integration and future purchase agreements.  We are very pleased Julie has joined our team and welcome her on board as we collectively work towards achieving Green Giant’s development goals.

I would like to also announce and thank John P. Sanderson Q.C., C.Arb, C.Med for assuming the  role of Vice-Chairman. John’s ongoing participation in Uranium Star is both valued and appreciated.
